The Freshii Story

I opened our first location in Toronto in 2005. For the first 6 months I worked as the Store Manager, doing everything and anything it took to learn all areas of my new business, as quickly as possible. What I figured out? This wasn’t rocket science; just hard work. Whatever needed to be done, I did!

We opened the first location to massive line ups. In fact, on the first day we ran out of all of our food before lunch was over. The second day the exact same thing happened. How can a restaurant called “Lettuce” have no lettuce? It didn’t take us long to get it right! Every day for six months we broke a sales record. For 180 days in a row, we became more efficient, served more guests and moved the line faster.

I was definitely onto something special. Anticipating this opportunity, I began to hire great team members to continue to build the brand, maximize the operations, and master the prototype.
